His ability to adeptly play all types of music--from house to rock, funk, hip hop and beyond--separates Scotty Boy from his sin city peers. Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Scotty Boy was best known as the "KROQ DJ." For over 7 years, Scotty Boy played KROQ concerts and parties, and KROQ Nights all over the L.A. area. Mixing his blend of 80's New Wave, House, Hip Hop and Rock, Scotty Boy landed a Saturday night mix show on KROQ in L.A., LIVE 105 in San Francisco and Party Radio in Phoenix for most of the 90's. In 2001, Scotty Boy was ready for a fresh scene and new musical opportunities that would open new doors. Viva Las Vegas! Scotty Boy spent his first year in Vegas as resident DJ at ghOstbar and Skin at the Palms, going on to open Tabu at the MGM Grand in 2003. These venues allowed Scotty to integrate his experience in rock with his love for house music, creating a daring format that has truly reinvented the soundscapes common in current Vegas clubs and Ultra lounges. Scotty Boy is best known in Las Vegas for his residency at Drai's Afterhours. It is at Drai's where he was able to first express his passion for house music. Born and raised on Chicago's Southside, Steve Smooth first immersed himself in the dance music scene starting out at a record store and then a Chicago based independent record label. As a dj, Steve worked to perfect his style of mixing, hitting the Chicago club circuit. This, along with Guest appearances on several college radio stations helped to gain him recognition, eventually leading to a frequent guest spot on the Sunday mix show, "The Street Flava," which aired on Chicago's largest radio station B96 (96.3 FM).
Steve first began working in the studio producing and remixing tracks for some of the hottest dance labels. With mixes like "Everyday My Life" and the remix of the vocal anthem, "Time" by legendary house diva Dajae, Steve quickly made his mark in the house and dance music community. As well, his work has received much deserved attention from Billboard Magazine.
In addition to producing, Steve maintains an impressive DJ schedule. Voted as one of "America's Favorite DJs", according to BPM Magazine, Steve took his skills as a DJ to countless shows including UK, Germany, Spain, Hong Kong, Canada, and North and South Americas alongside Bad Boy Bill. More recently, Steve has been touring solo and headlining the same venues he once played as the opening DJ for Bad Boy Bill. Steve also lent his mixing skills in 2006 to high profile promotional projects like ‘Wet Grooves Las Vegas’ and Whettravel’s ‘The Groove Cruise’. Through an ever-growing release schedule and countless live performances, Steve plans to continue to set the pace for production within the EDM Culture. His experience in almost every aspect of the industry has given him the resources and the knowledge to perfect his craft and secure his future as a pioneer in the Chicago House Community. Throughout the years, Alex has found himself in the studio with the likes of Ralphi Rosario, Mazi, CZR and Hatiras. His collaborations as well as his own productions have been featured on various mix compilations including: Bad Boy Bill’s “Bangin' the Box Series”, Richard "Humpy" Vision’s ”House Nation”, and Frankie Bones’ “Factory 101”. With his own mix compilations selling more than 100,000 units, there is no doubt that his crowd’s unfaltering connection to his music keeps Alex on top of the game. Most recently, Alex dropped some vocals for Bad Boy Bill on the "Bangin’ The Box 5" mix CD and was the voice behind one of the biggest underground tracks, CZR & Ito's “Bringin’ The Funk” 12” on Subliminal. His most publicized project was his collaboration with Bad Boy Bill as Alex co-wrote, co-produced and performed on the “Everybody” 12” single released on International House Records. He has opened for or played with some of today's hottest artists: Eminem, 50 Cent, D12, Bad Boy Bill, JJ Flores, Deep Dish, Ferry Corsten and Louie Devitto to name a few and was recently on tour with Ludacris and 4 Eyez!! With a recent move to Chicago (from Detroit), Kalendr's DJ career has exploded. The love for music is what started it! Matty A grew up in LA on west coast hip hop, NWA , Snoop Tupac and so many more. Matty A always made mixed tapes off the late night radio shows, like K-DAY 1580, and would then make copies for my friends. Always wanting to stay current on what was hot and what was not. he never really broadened my musical horizons until being accepted to college @ San Diego State University. This is where he started to really hear and learn about other music, the diversity of people he met in college opened his mind. He also was introducing to the wheels of steel during this time and in 1995, he first stepped to the turntables. What an amazing feeling to see a crowd react when you play a song they love.
